People clearly desire to have longer, healthier lives and there is consequently a huge market for effective anti-aging treatments and products. Unfortunately, the “anti-aging marketplace” is largely populated by cosmetics, fraudulent goods, outrageous marketing, scientific and medical inaccuracies and treatments and products that do not address age-related diseases and the degenerative conditions of aging in any meaningful way.

It is the goal of aging-management.com to differentiate itself from the established anti-aging market place by using our considerable medical expertise to provide a genuine, meaningful contribution to the good health and longevity of our site’s visitors.

We intend to deliver on this by:

Advising on how to optimise health for longevity by utilising nutritional and age management strategies.
Providing comprehensive assessments of anti-aging supplements, to inform and educate our site’s visitors.

Helping promote widespread public support and understanding of anti-aging science and medicine and finding meaningful ways of contributing to their progress.

The Aging Management Team

Charles Tweed qualified from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 1991. He initially trained in general surgery and orthopaedics before making his career in Emergency Medicine and Trauma. He has worked in Britain, Australia and New Zealand for the last the 15 years and is currently a Specialist in Emergency medicine at North Shore Hospital and Waitakere Hospital.

He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).

Charles developed a keen interest in preventative health, cancer risk-modification and Anti-Aging theories about 10 years ago, and has pursued these ever since.

His areas of special interest are in disease prevalence in different geographical areas and the role of diet modification, exercise and supplementation in disease initiation.

He is a member of the Australasian Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and is currently undergoing the fellowship programme.

He lives in Auckland with his family.

Mark Izzard graduated from the University of London, St George’s Hospital in 1992.

He then completed his basic training in general surgery before commencing a training scheme in Otolyrhinolaringology Head and Neck Surgery (ORLHNS). Mark became a qualified surgeon in 2002 and then further sub-specialised in head and neck surgery, reconstruction and facial plastics.

Mark was awarded a fellowship of the prestigious University of Washington Medical School and became the only non-North American surgeon to complete the head and neck reconstructive fellowship.

In his 2 years of sub-specialist Mark developed skills for reconstructing all aspects of the head and neck and cosmetic facial surgery, including cancer surgery and microsurgical reconstruction. Mark’s special interests lie in facial cosmetic surgery, in particular, Rhinoplasty and face lifts, and reconstruction of massive facial defects after surgery or trauma.

Mark has published many peer review papers and is currently involved in developing a research centre in head and neck surgery and reconstruction at Auckland University. As well as running the New Zealand facial plastic surgical course for trainees, Mark is also a guest lecturer at the University of Washington Facial Plastics program, which is held every year in Seattle. Mark also funds and runs the national head and neck cancer database.

Mark is married to Wendy has 2 daughters, Peri and Lili and has lived in New Zealand since 1993.

Alistair Tweed comes from a background of developing banking and IT systems and is currently an IT Manager in an Investment Bank in the City of London.

He set up Aging Management Ltd in July of 2007 and is webmaster, company director, primary business developer and general dog's body for the company.

A long time health and fitness enthusiast, Alistair developed a keen interest in longevity and anti-aging about 10 years ago and has continued to learn about and live by these principles ever since. In March 2008, he was invited to become "Methuselah Foundation Outreach Coordinator - UK", the The Methuselah Foundation's official volunteer lead for business and outreach activities in the UK, working closely with the Methuselah Foundation Board and especially Aubrey de Grey, as he promotes the Foundation's mission and donors in the UK.

He lives in Essex with his family.
